This book is dedicated to all the positive energy in the Universe, whether it is called God, Buddha, Jah, Or Allah.  This energy moved my spirit and soul to write this book of poems. It is also dedicated to my spiritual guide, Dr. Michael Issa Muhammed, who is now in the higher life for his inspiration, patience, passion, and discipline through both dark and light times. To my Mother Alma Elizabeth Newman McElroy and -my Father Mickey Marion McElroy who without their positive vibrations this book never would have been written.

 

Finally, Donna McElroy my Wife/Nubian Queen of this world and the next whose creativity and drive inspired me to return to the world of the arts and to continue to develop my craft. Also, our three sons Aaron, Leon, and Darnell for being positive young men in a time of darkness.  Yes, this is truth and has been my life which has been truly in the darkness and this book is leading me into the light. Thus, we have the name of the book “Out of the Darkness, Into the Light”. May peace and blessing be with those who buy, read, learn, and debate the poems in this book.
